Mark your calendars: ANSI has announced dates for the 2025 ANSI Innovation Summit, which will be held October 21-23 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Rockville, MD.
This year’s events will be held in person only to foster networking opportunities, increase engagement, and support collaborations that advance the standardization community’s shared goals.

Please note the reservation deadline of September 29, 2025; after this date, the discounted rate is not guaranteed. National Housing Center, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm ET
This unique networking opportunity brought colleagues together to share insights on standards supporting sustainability. Discussion prompts encouraged meaningful connections and knowledge sharing, and an afternoon networking reception offered further opportunities for collaboration.

Day 1 set the stage for the workshop, providing an introduction to international standardization at ISO and the IEC.
Hybrid Event: National Housing Center and Zoom, 9:15 am – 4:00 pm ET
This conference explored how industry, standards developing organizations, consortia, governments, academia, civil society communities, and others can work together to support greater sustainability worldwide. Topics of discussion included sustainability and ESG, circularity, and the use of standards as regulatory tools.

On day 2, training provided hands-on experience for attendees to learn how international stakeholders reach a consensus, draft, and finally create an international standard.

ANSI's Leadership and Service Awards were presented to the 2024 recipients at this banquet and ceremony in celebration of outstanding achievements in standardization.

Held in conjunction with World Standards Week, this multi-day event primed emerging standards professionals for success in international standardization, in both IEC and ISO activities. Day 3 allowed attendees to explore the flip side of international standardization through conformity assessment overview and training, and hear from industry experts on standards’ effects on emerging topics including AI, SDGs, gender equity, and more.

ANSI and its constituents explored three critical topics at the Legal Issues Forum: navigating the impact of the Supreme Court's Loper Bright decision; new legal developments impacting the practice of incorporation by reference; and data security regulations, practices, and standards.

Separate from ANSI’s World Standards Week events, but held during the same timeframe, the U.S. Celebration of WSD is hosted by a committee of standardization community partners. ANSI and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) co-chair the WSD planning committee. The National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) was the 2024 WSD Administrating Organization, with the theme Shared Vision for a Better World: Standards for the Changing Climate.
